Before your ceremony, you will need to obtain your marriage license. Contact your local county clerk’s office to learn what is required for apply for a marriage license. You will also need to hire an officiant for your ceremony. This can be a friend or family member who is ordained, judge, clergy member, or someone of religious authority.

Helium balloons are not allowed and candles need to be in a protective container. You are responsible for setting up and taking down all decorations. All decorative set-ups need to be approved before your ceremony.

If you are wanting a reception in addition to your ceremony, you will need to book an additional venue. The Statehouse does not allow receptions or events longer than 4 hours. You are allowed to have a “cocktail hour” time with finger foods but loud music or a full-course meal cannot be held there.
